Importance of Condom Use by Dr. A Benjamin Importance of Condom Use by Dr. A Benjamin Feb. 04, 2012 $2.99 8031 words Sample 20%
Author bio:
Dr A BENJAMIN is 60 years of age married with four children. I am presently working with World Health Organization (WHO) in Edo State of Nigeria As a Public Health specialist, my interest to work in HIV and AIDS began in 1986 five year after it became a world concern. I have heard and saw how the HIV and AIDS sufferers end up dying without real help from the society we live in. At that time I was a young Medical Officer in a polytechnic and I introduced HIV and AIDS awareness and the use of condoms. Since then I have presented papers and discussed HIV and AIDS in many countries like Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Nigeria and the United Kingdom. The awareness campaign had reached thousands of individuals, over one hundred companies and two hundred schools. Despite this, I am not satisfied with awareness alone and I decided to put everything in a book to look into Knowledge, attitudes and practices. I am convinced the knowledge of HIV and AIDS have not reached the expected level because of the reaction to HIV and AIDS today is the same as that of thirty years ago and this is worrisome. From my awareness campaigns to writing a book, I tried to look into MANY aspects and gave useful suggestions that will surely bridge the knowledge gaps. Thus the book discussed the knowledge issues by refreshing our memories on what is HIV and AIDS, mode of transmission, how to protect oneself and others from HIV and AIDS also the use of condoms. There were various discussions on what people say HIV and AIDs is and the level of information and understanding from all walks of life. Finally the summary of knowledge, the expected attitude changes toward HIV and AIDS and the good practices that will keep people from HIV and AIDS.

I have dual British/Turkish Cypriot nationality, dividing my time between Hertfordshire and North Cyprus. I am a trained fitness instructor and sports and massage therapist and write freelance feature articles on health, fitness, and various lifetyle subjects. Prior to this, I also worked for Hertfordshire Constabulary for ten years. My first novel, Fourteen Days Later, was short listed for the Harry Bowling Prize 2009 and received a Highly Commended by the Yeovil Literary Prize 2008. It is a romantic comedy with a unique infusion of British and Turkish Cypriot culture. Written in a similar style to Marian Keyes, it is My Big Fat Greek Wedding meets Bridget Jones. My Perfect Wedding is the sequel to Fourteen Days Later, although it can be read as a standalone novel. My second novel, The Fashion Police, is a hilarious comedy-mystery novel, the first in the series featuring feisty, larger-than-life, Amber Fox. It was runner-up in the Chapter One Promotions Novel Competition 2010 and voted Best Novel with Romantic Elements 2010 by The Romance Reviews. Praise for Fourteen Days Later: "A very good read." "Very enjoyable and fresh." - Trisha Ashley, Novelist. "Well-written." "You excel at physcial comedy." - Cornerstones "This was a hilarious romance! I had a hard time putting this one down because I never knew what funny catastrophe or line would come next." - The Cajun Book Lady blog "This story was impossible for me to put down." Coffee Time Romance and More Praise for The Fashion Police: "In this cleverly written book, the reader is taken on a variety of plot twists with a missing fashion designer, crazy mobster stalkers, and a police officer on the war-path. Sexy Amber Fox is on the case and it will take all her female wit and feminine ways to stay ahead of the game. The novel was entertaining and enjoyable. A recommend for anyone." Hot Gossip Hot Reviews "A witty well-paced romp, full of energy and with plenty of satisfying twists and turns." Romantic Novelists' Association "I enjoyed the great mixture of action adventure and slapstick. I found myself chuckling out loud and on one occasion snorting water out my nose. " Coffee Time Romance and More. "Hodge created a lovely chick-lit/thriller storyline that reminds me of Charlaine Harris' Lily Bard mysteries that I love to eat up." - The New Podler Review of Books
